1000 Scholarships Worldwide for Needy Moroccan Students

The Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in New York is thrilled to inform the Moroccan community residing in the USA that a partnership agreement has been signed Friday, March 19, 2010, between the Ministry in charge of the Moroccan Community Residing Abroad and the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education, Professional Training and Scientific Research, and that 1000 scholarships for the upcoming academic year, have been granted to needy Moroccan students residing abroad, to enable them to pursue their undergraduate, Master's or PhDs.

Moroccan students interested in applying for the above mentioned scholarships should either mail or present their applications by April 25, 2010, to the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in New York.

Requirements for students interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
  • Handwritten statement of purpose
  • Certificate covering the last three years delivered by a High School in the host country
  • Notarized copy of the High School Degree obtained in the host country
  • Copy of the National ID as well as copy of the Consular card of the applicant
  • Notarized Copy of enrollment certificate at a University for the upcoming academic year
  • Copy of the residency card of the father or the legal guardian notarized by the Consulate of Morocco
  • Grade report covering the three years of high school
  • Copy of the yearly income verification of either the father or the legal guardian of the applicant, notarized by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in New York.

Requirements for students interested in pursuing a Master’s or PhD
  • Handwritten statement of purpose addressed to His Excellency, the Minister of National Education, Higher Education, Professional Training and Scientific Research
  • Explanation of the financial situation within the handwritten statement of purpose
  • Notarized copy of the High School Degree
  • Copy of enrollment certificate at a University for the upcoming academic year
  • Copy of the residency card of the father or the legal guardian
  • Copy of the National ID of the student
  • Notarized Copy of the bachelor’s degree for students interested in pursuing a Master’s
  • Copy of the bachelor’s and the Master’s degrees for students interested in pursuing a PhD
  • Grade report covering the Bachelor’s for students interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s
  • Grade report covering the Master’s for students interested in pursuing a PhD
  • Copy of the yearly income verification of either the father or the legal guardian of the applicant, notarized by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in New York.
